This category is open to any recruitment agency that has been in operation in London and the South East for less than 3 years. Success will be proven by the business and employees showing a clear understanding of their products and service coupled with a successful performance towards their business plan.

- The successful entry will show how the business fits into the market place.
- The company business plan with achievement against this business plan to date should support the application
- Evidence of plans for future growth should be submitted to support the application

This category is open to any individual who manages a recruitment team/ department within London and the Southeast, giving them the opportunity to highlight their industry knowledge and expertise.

- The successful entrant will display excellent industry knowledge.

This category is open to any business within London and the Southeast that is able to demonstrate evidence of how they have implemented a training and development plan for all of its employees and how the results have been monitored.
Criteria
- The application should be supported by copies of the training/ career development programme(s) that the company provides
- The aims and objectives of the programme should be included
- Results of staff development and/ or progression should be submitted to support the application
- Delegate feedback/ testimonials should be submitted to support the entry
Best Recruitment Advertisement(s) using multi media
This category is open to any business within London and the Southeast that can provide evidence through a series of two or more original and creative advertisements of a successful recruitment advertising campaign
Criteria
- Through the use of a combination multi media (press, on line, out door, radio etc) you should endeavour to prove the success of your recruitment advertising to the judges
- The advertisements can have been placed in a combination of media from January 2007 - August 2008.
- Copies of electronic and/or print advertisements should be supplied to support your entry.
- The concept, target audience and results should be provided to support your entry
Best Recruitment Agency of the Year
This category is open to any recruitment agency within London and the South East.
Criteria
- You should endeavor to show the judges what it is that makes your recruitment agency the best throughout London and the South East
- Evidence of the service that the agency provides to its clients and candidates should be included
- Evidence of client and candidate retention together with success against targets should be provided to support the application
- Evidence of plans for future growth should be submitted to support the application
Best employer
This award can be entered by a recruitment company or any organisation with a recruitment team.
The entry must demonstrate a strong employer identity/brand. This is evidenced through the organisation’s mission statement, values and culture that are apparent across a number of key areas:
Criteria
- The organisation’ strategic objectives are clear and communicated to all levels.
- The mission statement and values are evidenced in how the organisation approaches recruitment and induction
- There are effective employment policies and procedures that are relevant and in use across the organisation.Â
- There is an equality and diversity policy in place that is trained across the organisation.Â
- There is a positive and supportive approach to managing performance – both good and poor performance.
- The is an ongoing training programme that supports best practice and continuous improvement
- An individual’s contribution to the organisation is recognised and valued.
- Individuals are encouraged to take ownership for their own decisions and autonomy is seen as a valued skill.Â
Life Time Achievement Award
This category is open to an individual or team of people who can demonstrate that they are worthy of receiving an award for an individual or team achievement that has had a major impact on their business. The award name should not suggest that there is an age limit for this entry - a young person may have achieved as much as someone of more mature years.
Criteria
- The successful entry should give a detailed description of the entrant's achievement.
- What impact has the individual or team had on the recruitment industry?
- The successful applicant will have demonstrated consistently high achievements within the industry over a period of three years or more.
Rising Star Award
The person nominated should have at least 6 months of continuous employment with their company in a recruitment capacity.
Criteria
- What is the nominated persons key role, how do they approach their work and how do others within the organisation see them?
- What key achievements or contributions has the person made?
- Does the person recognise his or her own abilities?
- How will the person develop with the organisation?
Customer service award
Criteria
- Is there a structured approach to client relationships?
- Can the recruitment team demonstrate good client analysis?
- What products and services are offered and are there valued added (inclusive) extras?
- Is there a high level of service offered by staff throughout the company?
- Can the company demonstrate repeat business or internal referral?
